My third project of Shetland wool blankets is finishing up as I hand-twist the fringes, wash, press and label each one. Two of the blankets are approximately 50% machine-spun alpaca, which is a lovely combination with the fine Shetland wool. (The alpaca includes minor amounts of nylon or bamboo for strength, but it is a very small component.)
